WRITING ARTICLES
This is a brief primer on writing articles on the website. If you have some information that you believe will be of interest to the community and you have always wanted to tell people about it, then this is where you can.
First, you need to compose your article – go to the Submit Article page on the website by clicking the ADD ARTICLE button on the Article Page. This will provide you with a text editing tool through which you can enter the text of your article.
Please note that the article title cannot be changed once you have entered it and submitted the text. (If you really want to change it mail the webmaster). Everything else you can revisit and change as and when you wish. You can, if more convenient, compose your article offline using Microsoft Word or a similar word processor and then cut and paste the text into the online editor.
Once you have composed your article you will need to fill in the rest of the form, these details do not appear on the website they are there to allow the administrators to contact you if necessary. There are two set of check boxes to consider, the hide checkbox and the list of website checkboxes. The hide checkbox allows you to stop the article being published; perhaps you have not finished it, still a few tweaks to make, once finished un-tick the box and it will be published. At any time you can tick this box again. The website checkboxes set the websites which will publish your article, only those ticked will show the article. The website that you are editing the article on is included by default. You can change publishing websites whenever you wish.
When you submit the article the Website administrators will need to check it for content, this is normally done within 24 hours, it is necessary to stop inappropriate content being published.
Suggestions; do not put any real contact details into the article; go to the forums and register. In the forum you can be known by a user id (Nome de Plume) which is anonymous, however other forum members will be able to contact you by email, although they will not be able to see your real email address. Use this User id in your article for contact purposes.
